Who We Help
Chiropractic is known for its ability to provide real, non-drug, non-surgical solutions to pain. Below are some of the most common complaints patients are finding relief with through chiropractic care...
BACK PAIN
Back pain is the leading cause of disability worldwide. Whether it's experienced in the upper, mid, or lower regions of the back, back pain is very common and often indicates dysfunction in the joints of the spine and/or surrounding soft tissue. Chiropractic care seeks to correct dysfunction in spinal joints and ensure proper spinal alignment to bring rapid relief and correct the cause behind mechanical back pain and promote long term results.
NECK PAIN
The human head weighs 10-12 lbs on average. Modern technology has greatly increased the incidence of forward head posture which adds 10 lbs of weight for every inch the head falls forward! This greatly increases stress on the joints and soft tissue of the neck below, leading to stiffness, reduced range of motion, and pain in the neck. Chiropractic seeks to get the head on straight by restoring motion to the joints of the cervical spine (neck) and ensuring proper alignment of the head and neck relative to each other.
HEADACHE/MIGRAINE
One of the most commonly overlooked causes of headaches and migraines is found in the relationship between the skull and vertebrae of the upper neck. When misalignments form in this region it causes the head to tilt off center creating asymmetry in the pull of the muscles and soft tissue of the neck and head. This can send pain to the base of the skull, behind one eye, in a band like formation around the head, or at the top of the head and can by very debilitating.
VERTIGO
Vertigo or dizziness can have many root causes and take different forms. Misalignments in the cervical spine (neck) that form at the base of the skull can compress the brainstem where important centers for balance control are situated, resulting in the common symptoms associated with vertigo.
NUMBNESS/TINGLING
Whether it happens in the arms and hands, legs and feet, or elsewhere, numbness and tingling signifies irritation of nerves as they traverse the extremities all the way back to their roots at the spine. By aligning the spine and removing nerve irritation, chiropractic has helped multitudes of people regain full function and eliminate tingling and numbness in the arms/hands, legs/feet, and beyond.
SHOULDER PAIN
Shoulder pain can find it's root cause in dysfunction of almost any structure making up the scapula-thoracic joint complex, and the vertebrae in the neck and mid back as well. Chiropractic seeks to identify any immobilized spinal segments or extremities surrounding the shoulder and restore their normal function, often resulting in increased mobility, significant reduction in pain, to full resolution of the complaint.
SCIATICA
Sciatica can be experienced as a burning, numb, tingling, or shooting pain down the back or outside of the thigh and down past the knee, sometimes even into the foot. This is due to irritation of the sciatic nerve at several points along the nerve's path down the leg, but most notably at the nerve roots located just outside the lumbar spine. Chiropractic approaches this problem by correcting misalignments in the bones of the pelvis and spine to relieve any compression or irritation of the sciatic nerve.
HIP AND KNEE PAIN
The hips and knees bear the brunt of the force experienced by the entire body above. For this reason they have a great susceptibility to wear and tear and injury. By correcting postural distortions above and improper joint mechanics in the hips, knees, and feet below, chiropractic can relieve pain, increase performance, and restore function to the hips and knees, without the use of drugs or surgery.
